We are hiring a Fire Alarm Technician to install, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring fire alarm systems are functioning properly and meet all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure fire alarm systems, including control panels, smoke detectors, and pull stations
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of fire alarm systems
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in wiring, control panels, and sensors
- Ensure systems are compliant with local fire safety codes and regulations
- Provide clients with training on the proper use and maintenance of their fire alarm systems
- Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications
- Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures
Requirements:
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems and fire safety regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring and control panels
- Relevant certification in fire alarm technology is preferred
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Physical ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Work Environment:
- Work in both residential and commercial settings, often involving outdoor and indoor tasks
- Physically demanding tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working at heights
- Regular interaction with clients, fire safety inspectors, and technical teams
