We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team and assist clients in securing mortgage loans for their home purchases or refinances. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of mortgage products, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires the ability to build relationships with clients and guide them through the mortgage process from application to closing.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate clients’ financial information and needs to determine suitable mortgage options
• Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and gathering necessary documentation
• Explain loan products, terms, and processes to clients clearly and effectively
• Assess creditworthiness and analyze credit reports to ensure compliance with lending guidelines
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of mortgage products, interest rates, and market trends
• Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources
• Review and verify loan applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate
• Submit loans for underwriting and coordinate communication between clients and underwriters
• Guide clients through the loan approval process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
• Stay updated on changes in mortgage regulations and industry best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in mortgage lending or financial services
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting processes, and lending regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals
• Proficient in mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple loans simultaneously
