We are seeking a skilled Forensic Accountant to join our investigative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for examining financial records and transactions to identify discrepancies, fraud, and financial misconduct. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and external parties.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations of financial records to identify fraudulent activities and discrepancies
• Analyze financial data and transactions, utilizing advanced accounting techniques and software
• Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, methodologies, and recommendations for corrective actions
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and other stakeholders in fraud investigations and legal proceedings
• Testify in court as an expert witness when necessary, explaining complex financial information in a clear and understandable manner
• Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to prevent fraud and enhance accuracy
• Stay updated on industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices related to forensic accounting
• Assist in the preparation of financial audits and support the audit process as needed
• Conduct training sessions for staff on fraud prevention and detection methods
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) certification is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in forensic accounting, auditing, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data
• Proficiency in accounting software and forensic analysis tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
