We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing costs related to products and services, preparing cost reports, and assisting in budget preparation. This role plays a crucial part in helping the organization understand its cost structure and optimize profitability through effective cost management strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze production costs, operational expenses, and pricing strategies to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
• Prepare detailed cost reports, including variance analysis and cost projections, to support financial decision-making
• Collaborate with various departments to gather data and ensure accurate cost accounting practices
• Assist in the development and management of budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against financial targets
• Conduct regular audits of cost data and processes to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Provide insights and recommendations based on cost analysis to improve overall financial performance
• Maintain accurate records of all cost accounting activities and ensure proper documentation for audits
• Support the month-end close process by ensuring all cost-related entries are recorded accurately
• Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving cost control and financial efficiency
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cost accounting and financial management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
