We are looking for a meticulous and discerning Hotel Tester to evaluate and provide feedback on the guest experience at various hotels. The Hotel Tester will conduct thorough assessments of accommodations, services, and amenities to ensure they meet established quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional observational skills, and the ability to communicate feedback effectively to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, and recreational amenities
  • Assess the quality of customer service provided by hotel staff, including front desk personnel, housekeeping, and food service teams
  • Document observations and experiences in detail, including cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest satisfaction
  • Create detailed reports outlining findings, highlighting areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide actionable recommendations to hotel management for enhancing the guest experience and service quality
  • Collaborate with other testers and quality assurance teams to develop assessment criteria and standards
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in hospitality to inform evaluation processes
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance evaluation skills and knowledge of hospitality standards
  • Occasionally participate in undercover stays to maintain objectivity in assessments
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations to monitor improvements and ensure that recommended changes have been implemented

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel operations, quality assurance, or guest services
  • Strong observational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate feedback constructively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting software
  • Ability to travel frequently to various hotel locations as required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple evaluations simultaneously
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based, with frequent travel to hotels for assessments
  • Collaborative environment that may involve interaction with hotel staff and management
  • Requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate overnight stays and varying schedules
