The Hiring Specialist is responsible for managing the recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring that the organization attracts, selects, and hires top talent. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, developing job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring process. The Hiring Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the employer brand and creating a positive candidate experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect role requirements
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates and conduct initial phone interviews to assess fit and interest
  • Coordinate and conduct in-person or virtual interviews with candidates, providing feedback and recommendations to hiring managers
  • Manage the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, ensuring timely communication and feedback
  • Conduct background checks and reference checks for selected candidates, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies and initiatives to attract diverse talent
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data-driven recommendations
  • Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Foster relationships with potential candidates and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a recruiter or hiring specialist, with a strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with candidates and hiring managers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
  • Ability to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit effectively
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring practices
  • Proficient in using social media and online platforms for sourcing candidates
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
