Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and friendly Leasing Consultant to join our property management team. The Leasing Consultant will be responsible for assisting potential tenants in finding their ideal rental property and guiding them through the leasing process. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong knowledge of the rental market, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist prospective tenants, providing information about available rental properties, lease terms, and community amenities.
  • Conduct property tours, showcasing units and highlighting their features and benefits.
  • Process rental applications, including background checks, income verification, and reference checks.
  • Prepare and execute lease agreements, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain knowledge of the local rental market, including pricing, availability, and competition to effectively market properties.
  • Follow up with prospective tenants and maintain a database of leads to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Assist in marketing efforts for vacant properties, including creating online listings and coordinating open houses.
  • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience throughout the leasing process.
  • Collaborate with property management to coordinate move-ins, lease renewals, and other leasing activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in real estate, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads and tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for property visits.

  • Office-based with regular travel to properties for showings and leasing activities.
