The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner. This role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, mixing and serving drinks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks
- Take orders from customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware and utensils
- Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, garnishes, and ice
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding alcohol service
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure timely service
- Create a positive and friendly atmosphere for guests, providing excellent customer service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bartending certification is a plus
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role in a restaurant or bar setting
- Knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and cocktail preparation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-stress situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be of legal drinking age and have a valid bartending license if required by local laws
