We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. The Host/Hostess will be the first point of contact for our guests and is responsible for ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating process. You will manage reservations, handle guest inquiries, and assist with ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The ideal candidate should be personable, organized, and able to manage high guest volumes with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests as they arrive, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
  • Manage the reservation system, confirming bookings and organizing the seating plan
  • Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus
  • Maintain an organized waitlist, informing guests of estimated wait times and keeping them updated
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding menu offerings, hours of operation, or special requests
  • Assist with managing the flow of the restaurant by coordinating seating with servers to ensure an efficient and enjoyable dining experience
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism, ensuring that guest satisfaction is a top priority
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the entrance, waiting area, and hostess station
  • Provide assistance to the serving staff during busy periods, such as refilling beverages or clearing tables as needed
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
  • Uphold company standards and policies related to customer service, hospitality, and health/safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and courteous
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus but not required; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with reservation and seating software is advantageous but not mandatory
