The Hotel Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s maintenance operations to ensure that the property and facilities are safe, functional, and visually appealing. This role involves supervising the maintenance team, conducting repairs, and ensuring that all equipment, utilities, and systems are in good working order. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical skills and experience in building maintenance within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of hotel maintenance operations, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep of the property
• Supervise the maintenance team, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance
• Conduct routine inspections of all facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and mechanical systems
• Ensure that HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems are fully operational
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of hotel assets
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve guest complaints related to maintenance issues
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, local building codes, and health and safety regulations
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ordering new supplies as needed
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or major projects
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment service logs, and repair histories
• Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
• Train, mentor, and motivate the maintenance team, promoting a safe and efficient work environment
• Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, front desk, etc.) to ensure guest satisfaction
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in facility maintenance

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience with various tools and maintenance techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and compliance standards
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required
