Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organized Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our property portfolio. The Property Manager will be responsible for maintaining property values, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maximizing occupancy rates. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple properties effectively. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of residential and/or commercial properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and comply with regulations.
- Manage tenant relations, including lease negotiations, renewals, and addressing tenant concerns or complaints.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling contractors and ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and manage property budgets, including tracking income and expenses, and providing regular financial reports.
- Market vacant properties, screen prospective tenants, and handle leasing activities to maintain high occupancy rates.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including fair housing laws and building codes.
- Collect rent, manage delinquent accounts, and initiate legal proceedings for evictions when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of property operations, leases, and tenant information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a Property Manager or similar role in property management.
- Strong knowledge of property management practices, leasing processes, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple properties.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for property visits.
