- Report any accidents, traffic violations, or vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate authorities or company management.
- Maintain a log of daily trips, including distances traveled and fares collected.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; a commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required in some jurisdictions.
- Knowledge of local geography and an ability to read maps or use GPS devices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with passengers.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, such as heavy traffic or difficult passengers.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and providing change.
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and a commitment to keeping the cab in good condition.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as demand fluctuates.
