The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities within the establishment. This role plays a vital part in creating a welcoming environment for guests and ensuring that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking supplies
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Assist in laundry services, including washing, folding, and delivering linens and towels as needed
- Respond to guest requests for additional services or supplies in a timely manner
- Participate in training sessions to improve cleaning techniques and service delivery
- Maintain an organized and efficient work environment to enhance productivity
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and guest privacy
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing, bending, and lifting
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
