The Receiving Clerk is essential to the warehouse and logistics operations, responsible for managing the intake of goods and materials. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all items received are accounted for, documented, and stored properly. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for quantity and quality to ensure they meet order specifications
• Compare packing lists and invoices to verify that received items match what was ordered
• Record and document receipt of goods in the inventory management system
• Label and store received items in designated areas to maintain an organized inventory
• Communicate with vendors or suppliers regarding discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items
• Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting any issues to supervisors
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of received goods for audits and compliance
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely processing of incoming shipments
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as picking and packing orders

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving role is advantageous but not mandatory
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and data entry processes is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling and documenting goods
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) as required
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary
