We are seeking a Senior Tax and Accounting Specialist to manage complex tax filings, provide advisory services, and oversee financial reporting. This role involves leading tax preparation efforts, staying updated on tax regulations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in tax and accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
• Ensure timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
• Analyze and interpret tax regulations and provide guidance to clients or internal teams
• Conduct tax planning and strategize to minimize tax liabilities
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Provide accounting support, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting
• Research and resolve complex tax and accounting issues
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on tax regulations and accounting practices
• Stay current with changes in tax laws and accounting standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and accounting
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience in working with diverse industries is a plus
