We are seeking a Calibration Technician to test and adjust instruments and equipment used in various industries, ensuring accuracy and precision. You will work with highly sensitive equipment and be responsible for its proper calibration.
Responsibilities:
- Calibrate and maintain a variety of instruments and equipment, including pressure gauges, thermometers, and measuring devices
- Perform regular inspections and tests to ensure equipment operates within acceptable limits
- Troubleshoot and repair calibration equipment as necessary
- Keep accurate records of all calibration activities and generate reports
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for calibration
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Assist in the development of calibration procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
- Strong technical understanding of measurement tools and calibration processes
- Attention to detail and precision in handling sensitive equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Certification in calibration technology or related fields is a plus
- Good communication skills for interacting with teams and clients
- Physical ability to work with small, intricate tools and devices
Work Environment:
- Primarily laboratory or industrial settings
- May involve working in sterile or cleanroom environments depending on the equipment
- Regular interaction with engineers, quality control teams, and other technical staff
