We are seeking a detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to support our escrow team in facilitating real estate transactions. This role involves managing the administrative aspects of the escrow process, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer service mindset, and a basic understanding of real estate transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist escrow officers in the management and coordination of real estate transactions from opening to closing
  • Prepare and review escrow documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Communicate with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders to gather necessary information and resolve any issues
  • Maintain organized files and documentation for each transaction, ensuring timely access to information
  • Coordinate the scheduling of appointments for signings and closings, providing excellent customer service throughout the process
  • Track and manage escrow deposits and funds, ensuring proper handling and documentation
  • Perform data entry tasks related to escrow transactions and maintain the escrow software system
  • Prepare closing statements and disbursement instructions, ensuring accuracy in financial calculations
  • Assist in the resolution of title issues, liens, or other challenges that may arise during the escrow process
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and improve service delivery

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or coursework in real estate or finance is a plus
  • 1-2 years of experience in an escrow, title, or real estate support role preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and escrow software (e.g., ResWare, Qualia)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Knowledge of real estate terminology and processes is desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
