We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations during assigned shifts. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of employees, ensuring high-quality service and production standards, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of team members during shifts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and offer constructive feedback to improve productivity and morale
  • Train and onboard new employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
  • Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs
  • Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to ensure a safe and clean environment for all employees
  • Address and resolve any employee issues, conflicts, or performance-related concerns promptly and effectively
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, performance, and operational metrics
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any maintenance or safety issues to management
  • Facilitate communication between team members and management, ensuring information flows efficiently
  • Uphold quality standards and customer service expectations, addressing any complaints or concerns that arise during the shift

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in management or a related field is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with operational management software
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Work Environment:

  • Typically works in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, such as retail, food service, or manufacturing
  • Direct interaction with team members and customers, requiring strong people skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • May involve standing for long periods and occasionally lifting heavy items
