The Production Assistant (PA) supports the production team in various aspects of film, television, or live event production. This entry-level position requires strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-production tasks, including scheduling, script breakdowns, and logistics.
- Help set up and dismantle production equipment and sets.
- Run errands and transport equipment and personnel as needed.
- Manage and organize production paperwork and files, including call sheets and schedules.
- Provide support to crew members during shoots, including assisting with lighting, sound, and camera work.
- Coordinate with vendors, talent, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle crowd control and manage extras on set during filming.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the set and equipment.
- Participate in post-production tasks, such as logging footage and assisting with editing when needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television, Communications, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in production or a related field is a plus, but internships or volunteer work are acceptable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of production equipment and software is an advantage.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
