Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Proposal Manager to lead our proposal development efforts. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for coordinating the preparation of proposals, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and aligned with client needs. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent writing abilities, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal development process from start to finish, including planning, writing, editing, and finalizing proposals.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and subject matter experts to gather information and develop content that meets client requirements.
  • Analyze RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and RFIs (Requests for Information) to ensure understanding of client needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a library of proposal templates, past proposals, and best practices to streamline the proposal process.
  • Ensure all proposals are compliant with company policies and guidelines, including pricing, branding, and legal requirements.
  • Review and edit proposals for clarity, consistency, and accuracy, ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Coordinate proposal presentations and client meetings as needed to support the sales process.
  • Track and report on proposal metrics, including win/loss rates, to inform future strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in proposal management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in proposal management, bid writing, or related roles, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in proposal management software and tools (e.g., RFPIO, Qvidian) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality proposals.
