As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will assist the senior legal team in providing legal advice and support to ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research to support senior counsel on various legal matters, including corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide support in preparing for legal proceedings and negotiations with external parties
- Help ensure that company policies and procedures comply with current laws
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company
- Assist in managing legal databases and filing systems
- Help in the resolution of legal disputes and assist in managing relationships with external legal advisers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); a Master’s degree or legal qualification (Bar admission) is an advantage
- 0–2 years of experience in corporate law, contract law, or related areas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and research abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal matters
