We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and logistics of goods and services for our organization. The ideal candidate will ensure that procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and align with organizational goals. This role involves vendor management, contract negotiation, and close collaboration with various departments to meet operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with vendors
- Manage the procurement process, including creating purchase orders, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to meet supply needs
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery times
- Conduct market research to stay informed of trends, pricing, and potential suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulations
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements with suppliers, while maintaining quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure budget adherence and efficient resource allocation
- Resolve issues related to delays, quality discrepancies, or supplier performance
- Track and report key procurement metrics to ensure cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Continuously seek out opportunities for process improvement in the procurement lifecycle
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing role
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in procurement and supply chain management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Certification in procurement (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management – CPSM) is a plus
