Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Specialist to manage and optimize our inventory processes. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that stock levels align with business needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with inventory management software, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy. Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock is maintained at appropriate levels to meet demand.
  • Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies with inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including purchases, returns, and transfers.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control policies and procedures to optimize inventory management.
  • Work closely with purchasing and sales teams to forecast inventory needs based on trends and sales data.
  • Identify and report any inventory shortages, overages, or damages, and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage inventory within the warehouse or storage facility, ensuring that items are stored correctly and safely.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and manage inventory across multiple locations, as needed.
  • Assist with the organization and layout of storage areas to maximize efficiency and space utilization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist, Inventory Clerk, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving items, as well as standing for extended periods.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse, retail, or office setting depending on company requirements.
  • May require lifting and handling items up to [weight, e.g., 50 lbs] and working in a standing position for long periods.
