The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and processing customer orders into the system. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter customer orders into the database, ensuring all details are correct
- Verify order information, including product specifications, pricing, and shipping details
- Communicate with customers regarding their orders, providing updates and resolving any issues that arise
- Coordinate with warehouse and shipping departments to ensure timely order processing and delivery
- Monitor inventory levels and inform relevant departments of low stock to prevent delays
- Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints in a professional manner
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all orders, modifications, and customer communications
- Assist in generating reports related to order processing and customer feedback
- Stay updated on product knowledge and company policies to provide informed support to customers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a related field is a plus
- Proven experience in order entry or a similar administrative role
- Proficient in using order management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
