We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. The Dishwasher will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes are clean and ready for use. This is a crucial role in maintaining a smooth operation in the kitchen and ensuring that hygiene standards are upheld. The ideal candidate will be efficient, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment
• Ensure that all items are cleaned thoroughly and meet health and safety standards
• Load and unload dishwashing machines, ensuring proper placement of items for effective cleaning
• Scrub pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils that require hand washing
• Ensure kitchen equipment and tools are properly cleaned and stored after each use
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, ensuring it is free of clutter and hazards
• Sort and stack clean dishes, placing them in the appropriate areas for use by kitchen and dining staff
• Assist kitchen staff by cleaning food prep stations and sweeping/mopping kitchen floors when needed
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and dispose of waste according to restaurant policies
• Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to kitchen management
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent contamination
• Assist with other cleaning tasks as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or chef

Requirements:

• No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
