We are looking for a passionate and energetic Barista to join our coffee shop team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. You will also handle customer transactions, maintain a clean work environment, and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about coffee preparation techniques, though training can be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and smoothies
• Accurately take customer orders and handle cash register transactions
• Recommend menu items to customers, offering suggestions for customizing drinks
• Clean and sanitize workstations, counters, and seating areas regularly
• Maintain stock of supplies such as coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other ingredients
• Keep track of inventory and inform management when supplies need to be reordered
• Operate coffee brewing equipment, including espresso machines and grinders
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food handling and preparation
• Build positive relationships with customers by providing prompt and friendly service
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure that all machines are functioning properly
• Assist in other duties as needed, such as restocking shelves, packaging baked goods, and serving pre-made items
• Respond to customer questions or concerns with a helpful attitude, ensuring a positive customer experience

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in food/beverage service is a plus but not required (training will be provided)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and the ability to learn new drink recipes quickly
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude and passion for creating an enjoyable atmosphere for customers
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks
