The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role involves working closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and promotions
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Relay orders to the kitchen and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Process payments and handle cash or credit transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and server station
- Collaborate with team members to provide a seamless dining experience
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and restaurant policies
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables before and after service
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (e.g., trays of food, beverages)
