The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in a restaurant setting. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and present menus
- Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and dietary options
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any needs
- Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining
- Process payments and handle cash or credit card transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including utensils and condiments
- Assist with restocking supplies and preparing dining areas for service
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other waitstaff to ensure a smooth operation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
