The Sales Assistant supports the sales team in various administrative and customer service tasks. This role involves assisting customers, processing sales transactions, and maintaining product displays, contributing to a positive shopping experience and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, and availability.
- Assist in processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies, and product features.
- Stock and replenish merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
- Organize and maintain product displays to ensure an appealing shopping environment.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks such as data entry and order processing.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Work Environment:
