Job Description

The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a vital role in protecting an organization’s digital assets by identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. This position involves monitoring systems for security breaches, conducting vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. Cybersecurity Analysts are crucial in safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining the overall security posture of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures to protect organizational data
  • Collaborate with IT and network teams to design and maintain secure systems and architectures
  • Investigate security breaches and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions
  • Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and best practices to enhance security measures
  • Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance audits for management review
  • Provide training and support to employees on security awareness and best practices
  • Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related role
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and NIST
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and training purposes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
