We are in search of a proactive Safety Manager to oversee and enhance workplace safety standards across our organization. The ideal candidate will implement effective safety protocols and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves evaluating current safety practices, conducting training sessions, and collaborating with various departments to foster a culture of safety. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records
  • Conduct safety training and workshops for employees to promote awareness and safe practices
  • Collaborate with management to integrate safety into operational processes and business decisions
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and safety trends to ensure compliance
  • Lead safety committee meetings and facilitate discussions on safety improvement initiatives
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and safety-related inquiries
  • Assist in the development of emergency response plans and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a relevant industry
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs
  • Proficient in using safety management software and tools
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Work Environment:

  • This position typically operates in an office environment, with regular site visits to various work locations
  • May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during site inspections
  • The role may involve irregular hours to address urgent safety issues or training sessions
