The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations within a restaurant, hotel, or other hospitality establishment. This role involves managing staff, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining profitability while delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement food and beverage policies and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, including budgeting, inventory control, and staff management
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and fostering a positive work environment
  • Create and update menus in collaboration with chefs, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection of food and beverages
  • Monitor food and beverage costs, pricing strategies, and revenue targets to maximize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all food and beverage operations
  • Analyze customer feedback and service standards to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special events, promotions, and new menu items
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality products and negotiate favorable terms
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to keep the food and beverage offerings competitive

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in food and beverage management or a related role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Interaction with customers, staff, and suppliers on a daily basis
  • Requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
