Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including training and mentoring as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis of variances between actual and budgeted figures
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as required by management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
