We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Economist to join our research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting economic research and analysis to inform policy decisions and business strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of economic principles, excellent quantitative skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive economic research and analysis to understand market trends, economic conditions, and policy impacts
• Develop economic models and forecasts to analyze data and predict future economic trends
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Collaborate with other economists and researchers to conduct studies on various economic issues, including labor markets, trade, and fiscal policies
• Analyze government policies, regulations, and economic data to assess their impact on businesses and the economy
• Stay updated on global economic trends and developments, providing insights to management and stakeholders
• Engage with external organizations, government agencies, and industry groups to gather data and share research findings
• Contribute to academic publications and participate in conferences to disseminate research findings and establish the organization as a thought leader in economic research
• Provide expert advice on economic issues to support strategic planning and decision-making within the organization

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in economic research or analysis, preferably in a government, academic, or consulting environment
• Strong quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, or SAS) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
