Job Description

We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Retail Banker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers while assisting them with their banking needs, including account management, loans, and financial products. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of banking products, and a commitment to building lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with opening and managing bank accounts, including checking, savings, and investment accounts
  • Provide information on banking products and services, helping customers make informed financial decisions
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services, such as loans, credit cards, and investment options
  • Conduct loan applications and assist customers through the approval process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide solutions to enhance their banking experience
  • Promote and cross-sell banking products and services to meet individual and team sales goals
  • Maintain compliance with banking regulations and policies, ensuring all transactions and customer interactions adhere to legal standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve branch goals and foster a positive working environment
  • Stay updated on banking trends and product offerings to provide accurate information to customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail banking or customer service roles, with a strong understanding of banking products and services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in processing transactions
  • Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • High level of professionalism and integrity when handling sensitive customer information
