Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Program Specialist to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, a passion for community engagement, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. The Program Specialist will play a key role in ensuring our programs achieve their goals and effectively serve our target populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of program plans, strategies, and objectives to meet organizational goals
  • Coordinate program activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and facilitating communication among stakeholders
  • Monitor program progress and outcomes, collecting and analyzing data to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare and maintain program documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team members and community partners to ensure programs are well-supported and aligned with community needs
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment efforts to engage participants and promote program offerings
  • Provide support during program events and activities, ensuring smooth execution and participant satisfaction
  • Assist in developing and managing program budgets, tracking expenses, and reporting on financial performance
  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in program management, incorporating relevant insights into program design and implementation
  • Assist in grant writing and reporting to secure funding and ensure compliance with grant requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in program management, coordination, or related roles
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis, with experience using data to inform decision-making
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
