We are hiring hardworking and reliable Fruit Pickers to assist with the harvesting of various fruits such as oranges, apples, and other produce. As a Fruit Picker, you will be responsible for collecting ripe fruit directly from trees or vines and ensuring the produce meets quality standards. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and don’t mind physical labor in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Harvest fruit by hand, using picking tools where necessary, ensuring no damage to the produce
• Inspect fruit for ripeness and quality, discarding any damaged or overripe produce
• Sort and pack harvested fruit in crates or baskets according to size, ripeness, and quality standards
• Work efficiently to meet daily picking quotas while maintaining high-quality standards
• Operate safely in fields or orchards, following guidelines to avoid accidents or injury
• Report any issues related to fruit quality, trees, or equipment to supervisors
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in work areas, including cleaning up debris after harvesting
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, particularly when handling food items
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and meet harvest deadlines
• Participate in other farm-related duties as needed, such as planting, pruning, or irrigation

Requirements:

• No prior experience necessary, though previous farm or outdoor work is a plus
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (e.g., hot, cold, rainy)
• Strong attention to detail and quality control to ensure only the best fruit is harvested
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a team setting
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions and safety protocols
• Must be reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift and carry heavy baskets or crates of fruit (up to 40 lbs)
