Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate content schedules, ensuring timely delivery of articles, features, and other editorial materials.
- Review and edit submissions for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines, providing constructive feedback to writers.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and design, to create cohesive and engaging content that aligns with the organization’s goals.
- Monitor industry trends and audience preferences to inform content strategy and development.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities for editorial staff.
- Maintain relationships with freelance writers, contributing editors, and industry contacts to expand the publication’s reach and influence.
- Ensure that all content adheres to legal and ethical standards, including copyright and plagiarism guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Editor, Managing Editor, or in a similar role within the publishing industry.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS).
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and social media strategies for content promotion.
