Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and creative Photo Editor to join our team. The Photo Editor will be responsible for editing and retouching images to ensure high-quality visuals for various projects, including publications, websites, and marketing materials. This role requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with photographers and other team members. Responsibilities

  • Review and select images from photo shoots, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with project requirements.
  • Edit and retouch photos using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, enhancing colors, correcting exposure, and removing imperfections.
  • Collaborate with photographers and creative teams to understand the desired style and aesthetic for each project.
  • Prepare images for print and digital publication, ensuring they are optimized for various formats and platforms.
  • Maintain an organized library of images and ensure proper file management and archiving.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and software to continually improve skills and efficiency.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to photographers on shooting techniques and best practices for editing.
  • Ensure all images adhere to copyright and licensing agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience as a Photo Editor or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating editing skills.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) and a strong understanding of digital photography techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and composition.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Familiarity with different image formats, color profiles, and production processes for print and digital media.
