Responsibilities
- Review and select images from photo shoots, ensuring they meet quality standards and align with project requirements.
- Edit and retouch photos using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, enhancing colors, correcting exposure, and removing imperfections.
- Collaborate with photographers and creative teams to understand the desired style and aesthetic for each project.
- Prepare images for print and digital publication, ensuring they are optimized for various formats and platforms.
- Maintain an organized library of images and ensure proper file management and archiving.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and software to continually improve skills and efficiency.
- Provide feedback and guidance to photographers on shooting techniques and best practices for editing.
- Ensure all images adhere to copyright and licensing agreements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience as a Photo Editor or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating editing skills.
- Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) and a strong understanding of digital photography techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and composition.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Familiarity with different image formats, color profiles, and production processes for print and digital media.
