The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by monitoring premises, enforcing safety protocols, and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises and personnel
- Check identification and authorize access to buildings and restricted areas, ensuring compliance with security protocols
- Respond to alarms and incidents, conducting investigations and reporting any suspicious activities or violations
- Write detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences for record-keeping purposes
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors, addressing their questions and concerns regarding safety and security
- Enforce rules and regulations to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, providing information and support during incidents
- Conduct regular inspections of security equipment and ensure they are in good working condition
- Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay updated on emergency response procedures
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential criminal activity and reassure employees and visitors
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in security or law enforcement is a plus
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods
