The Transportation Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the transportation operations within the organization, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement transportation strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight companies, and other stakeholders to negotiate rates and services
• Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal regulations related to transportation and logistics
• Coordinate with other departments, such as warehousing and inventory management, to align transportation with overall business operations
• Manage the transportation budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
• Lead and mentor the transportation team, providing training and development to improve performance
• Address and resolve transportation-related issues, including delays, damages, and customer complaints
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve transportation operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in transportation management or logistics, preferably in a managerial role
