Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and creative Camera Operator to join our production team. The Camera Operator will be responsible for capturing high-quality video footage for various projects, including films, television shows, commercials, and live events. Responsibilities
- Operate cameras and related equipment to capture high-quality video footage according to the production requirements.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other crew members to understand the vision and creative direction for each project.
- Set up and adjust camera equipment, including lenses, lighting, and audio, to achieve desired shots and ensure optimal production quality.
- Frame and compose shots, ensuring proper lighting, angles, and focus to tell the story effectively.
- Record and monitor video footage, ensuring technical quality and continuity throughout the production.
- Maintain and troubleshoot camera equipment, performing regular checks and maintenance as needed.
- Assist in planning shot lists and storyboards, contributing ideas for visuals that enhance the narrative.
- Work efficiently under tight deadlines, adapting to changes in the production schedule as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and techniques to continually improve skills and performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Film, Television, Media Production, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Camera Operator or in a similar role in film, television, or video production.
- Strong technical knowledge of camera equipment, lenses, and lighting techniques.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and a creative eye for composition and storytelling.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as production schedules require.
- A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous work is highly desirable.
