We are seeking a creative and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, from appetizers to main courses and desserts
- Develop and modify menus according to customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and trends
- Manage the kitchen team, including line cooks, sous chefs, and other staff, ensuring efficient food preparation
- Oversee the quality, presentation, and consistency of dishes before they are served to customers
- Monitor kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are proficient in their roles
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create innovative specials and menu items
- Handle customer complaints or requests related to food quality or preparation
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and arrange repairs or replacements as needed
- Work with the front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, flavors, and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Ability to design creative, appealing menus that reflect current culinary trends
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen setting
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff
