A perfume vendor is responsible for promoting and selling a range of fragrances in retail settings, such as department stores, specialty fragrance boutiques, or online platforms. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of perfumes to attract customers and promote sales.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems.
  • Manage inventory, including restocking shelves and keeping track of product availability.
  • Engage customers through fragrance sampling and testing, offering personalized recommendations based on their feedback.
  • Stay updated on current fragrance trends, new product launches, and industry news to provide informed recommendations.
  • Participate in promotional events, workshops, or fragrance fairs to showcase products and attract new customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement strategies that drive sales and enhance brand awareness.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or sales experience, particularly in the beauty or fragrance industry, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • A passion for perfumes and a good understanding of scent families and notes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, depending on store hours.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in cosmetics, fragrance, or marketing can be an advantage.
  • Ability to lift and carry products, as well as stand for extended periods during shifts.
