Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Appraiser to join our team. The Real Estate Appraiser will be responsible for evaluating properties to determine their market value for various purposes, including sales, mortgage lending, and investment analysis. This role requires strong analytical skills, thorough knowledge of real estate valuation methodologies, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed property inspections to collect data and assess various factors that influence value, such as location, condition, and market trends.
  • Analyze comparable sales, market data, and property characteristics to determine accurate property valuations.
  • Prepare detailed appraisal reports in compliance with industry standards, including the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
  • Collaborate with clients, including lenders, real estate agents, and property owners, to explain valuation findings and address any questions.
  • Stay up to date on local and national real estate market trends, regulations, and appraisal practices.
  • Utilize appraisal software and tools to compile data, create reports, and manage appraisal projects.
  • Maintain records of appraisals, including supporting documentation, for future reference and audits.
  • Ensure that all appraisals are completed within established timelines and meet quality standards.

Requirements

  • Valid real estate appraisal license in the state of [State] (Certified Residential or Certified General Appraiser preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Real Estate Appraiser, with knowledge of valuation principles and methods.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex valuation concepts to clients.
