Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining customer accounts. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth billing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review billing discrepancies and resolve issues with customers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and customer accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly billing reports and summaries for management review
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure billing accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Process payments and apply them to customer accounts, ensuring proper documentation
  • Conduct regular audits of billing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account statuses
  • Assist in the development and implementation of billing procedures and policies to enhance efficiency
  • Participate in month-end close activities related to billing and revenue recognition

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required
  • 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of billing processes and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
