We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to manage our financial records and ensure accurate reporting of financial data. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations
- Prepare and submit financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders, highlighting key financial metrics and trends
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance and variance analysis
- Coordinate and support the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors to provide necessary documentation
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends, recommending corrective actions as needed
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, including GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders
