Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Church Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our church. This role involves managing administrative tasks, supporting church leadership, and ensuring that church programs run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, excellent communication skills, and a passion for supporting the church community.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily administrative functions of the church, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication
  • Manage church records, including membership databases, financial records, and correspondence
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of church events, services, and activities, ensuring all logistical details are handled
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for church members, visitors, and community partners, addressing inquiries and providing assistance
  • Collaborate with church leadership to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that align with the church’s mission and vision
  • Maintain the church’s website and social media presence, ensuring content is current and engaging for the congregation
  • Assist in financial management, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and processing donations and payments
  • Coordinate volunteer activities and church staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for services and events
  • Support the pastor and church leaders in administrative tasks, such as preparing agendas for meetings and taking minutes
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to church operations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in administrative roles, preferably within a church or nonprofit environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and church management software (e.g., Breeze, Planning Center)
  • Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a heart for serving the church community
  • Familiarity with church operations and a commitment to the church’s mission and values

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based, with occasional responsibilities outside the office for events and meetings
