The Compensation and Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the organization’s compensation and benefits programs. This role involves developing competitive compensation structures, managing employee benefits packages, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will collaborate with HR leadership to create strategies that attract and retain talent while promoting employee engagement and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compensation strategies that align with the organization’s goals and market trends, ensuring competitiveness and internal equity
- Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Conduct market research and analysis to benchmark compensation and benefits offerings against industry standards
- Collaborate with HR and departmental leaders to assess current compensation practices and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to compensation and benefits, including FLSA, ERISA, and ACA requirements
- Analyze and interpret compensation and benefits data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership on compensation and benefits trends, budget impacts, and program effectiveness
- Develop and communicate compensation and benefits policies and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization
- Manage annual salary review processes, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus distributions
- Lead benefits open enrollment periods, providing employees with information and guidance on their options
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Compensation and Benefits Manager or in a similar HR role
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees and stakeholders
- Proficiency in compensation analysis tools and HRIS software, as well as Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification in compensation or HR (e.g., CCP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus
