Job Description

The Staffing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the recruitment and staffing process by identifying, attracting, and selecting qualified candidates for various positions within the organization. This position involves collaborating with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and implementing effective sourcing strategies to fulfill those requirements. The Staffing Specialist is committed to enhancing the candidate experience while ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect position requirements
  • Utilize various sourcing techniques, including job boards, social media, and networking, to attract qualified candidates
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and evaluate candidates based on their qualifications and cultural fit
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, providing timely feedback throughout the process
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to improve candidate quality and time-to-fill metrics
  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate record-keeping of candidate progress and recruitment activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, providing them with information about the organization and the roles they are applying for
  • Stay informed about industry trends and labor market conditions to adapt recruitment strategies as needed
  • Participate in job fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities to promote the organization and attract talent
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in staffing or recruitment, preferably in a corporate or agency setting
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for talent acquisition and a commitment to enhancing the candidate experience
